How the Gravity Bed began

Hi, my name is David and I am the creator of the The Gravity Bed.

Back when Covid first broke out, I was working from home just like most everyone else. Since everything was shut down, I found myself doing a lot of one thing... SLEEPING!

For some odd reason, I was lying in bed one day thinking..."I wonder how much of an angle could I raise the my bed before my body would slip down the sheets?"   I know that is an odd thing to think, but I am always inventing things.  (I have won Popular Science Magazine's Grand Award In Health for a previous invention).

I started doing research to see if there was any historical documentation on the benefits of having the entire body sleeping on an angle. This is where the big ah-hah moment came and the discovery of the 3,000 year-old sleeping secret began.

I stumbled upon articles discussing the contents of King Tutankhamun's tomb which was discovered in Egypt in 1922.  Oddly, there were four beds found in his burial tomb, all of them had one thing in common.  The heads of the bed were higher than the foot of the bed at roughly a 5 degree angle.

It appears that these strange beds were not only reserved for Kings, as in 1925 the tomb of Hetepheres the Queen of Egypt during the 4th dynasty was discovered. Inside, you guessed it, they found her inclined bed. My research lead me to also find many other “thought leaders” like Thomas Edison and Elon Musk were also fans of sleeping inclined. Thus began my journey into creating The Gravity Bed.

I have been personally sleeping inclined now ever since COVID, and during that time I have built several different versions of the The Gravity Bed before finalizing the model you see now.

Personally, I will never go back to sleeping flat again.

Wishing you the best of health,
